What This Costs and How It Works
Builds and support
The Free 2-Week Proof Run is free and it ends. This is the page for what comes after it, if it worked and you want to keep going. There are two things to buy and they're separate.
Builds
- One process at a time. Not a platform, not a transformation programme. One job your team does by hand, turned into something that does it.
- Built on your infrastructure. Your AI account, your systems, your data. Nothing runs on anything I control, so there is nothing to migrate off if we stop working together.
- Billed for time. The first process is free. After that, build work is hourly.
- You own the code. It's your project. The only exception is a product I already own and bring with me — that part stays mine, and I'll say so before we start.
Support
Monthly. It buys two things.
Keeping it working
Models change, vendors change, and your own process changes. I watch for that and deal with it before it turns into your problem. This is the proactive half, and it's the half that's worth paying for in a month when nothing breaks.
Finding the next one
Working out what to automate next is part of the monthly, not a separate bill. It goes either direction:
- You already know which process hurts, and you tell me.
- You teach me how your business actually works, I go look for the opportunities, and I bring them back with the number each one moves.
If you'd rather not keep a retainer
That's a real option and nothing gets switched off. It runs on your infrastructure, so it keeps running whether I'm involved or not. Maintenance gets booked when my availability allows.
What you don't get is a response time. I can't be responsive without a retainer — I need regular income to hold time open, and I'd rather work ahead of problems than be paged into them. I'd rather say that now than have you find it out the week something breaks.
What it costs to run
Whatever I build uses AI, and AI has a meter on it. It runs on your own account, so the provider bills you directly. You see every penny and you can cap it wherever you like.
That means you need a budget for it — including during the free Proof Run. It's usually small. In one case, working a list of 523 written-off leads cost about $200 in model usage from end to end. But it isn't zero, and anyone who tells you their AI system is free is billing you for it somewhere else.
What I won't take on
If we can't name the cost line or the revenue line the process moves, it isn't work I want. I'll say so before either of us spends anything. That rule doesn't loosen once you're a paying client — it's the whole reason the measurement at the end of a build means something.
Start with the free one
None of this is worth discussing until one process has actually worked. That part is free, takes two weeks, and you keep it either way.
